Interestingly enough, it's the same company that has been the proferred provider for the past 4 years, according to the study.

Credit card users like American Express the best, partly because of the credit card terms, billing, rewards and benefits they receive from the card, but also how problems are handled by customer service, and the solutions that are provided.

With current trends in the credit card industry of low customer satisfaction and decreasing card company loyalty, credit cards are not just about the product, but also about the service provided. Companies that are offering better customer service are now more likely to gain the larger market share and come out ahead in the long run.
